"There is no better friend than a sister." I first met Faustina when I was four years old. I remember cuddling with her in her crib as she laid there swaddled in pink. A lot has changed since then...I'm not sure pink is still her favorite color, but one thing remains the same...she's as amazing and kind hearted today as the day I first met her. I can't take the credit for being an amazing role model because she's been the ray of sunshine that I continue to learn from everyday. I'm so happy to have her right by my side on my wedding day.
Glorious friendship all began at age 7 as Lian and I bonded on opposite ends of a couch while watching Sabrina. The original wing-woman before Leon decided it was too weird. Partner in crime, sharer of funnel cakes, honest answerer to "does this dress look good on me?" Fellow target of Leon's ridiculous and goofy antics, usually involving basketball, shoes, basketball shoes, beef, his Neon, and/or Pokémon. Unbreakable bond; true sister that's been through everything and beyond together. Oh, and also the sister of Leon.
I met Jennifer in 7th grade Spanish class and we've been best friends ever since!! Even though I abandoned her for four years to dance around the world, distance has made our hearts grow stronger and we always pick up exactly where we left off. From age 12, we would snuggle under the blankets on her couch to watch chick flicks, and today, you can find us doing the same thing. I'm so blessed to have such a sweet friend that I could call a sister. A huge thank you to her for making my wedding experience perfect!

Kitty and I have been best friends since the 9th grade. With her high spirits and positive energy, she was always up for anything and often fell victim to my wild adventures. In school, we pulled so many all-nighters for our IB classes, and in our junior year, we embarked on a 700 mile Save the Kids Bike Ride to raise awareness for the orphans of China. I look back at these memories and there's no one else I'd rather experience them with. An unbreakable bond, I can't wait to see where our spontaneous spirits take us!
I'm so grateful to always be surrounded my family. Vicky is my younger cousin and I'll always remember her as an adorable 10 year old. Memories of us growing up include weekend mall trips that truly shaped our love for shopping. Needless to say, she is a wonderful partner in crime as we shop with equal speed and taste :) That adorable 10 year old girl has grown up to be a beautiful young lady who's loving, captivating, and talented. Her spirit and kind personality makes her one in a billion and I'm so happy to have her be apart of my big day!
Lisa is like the big sister I never had. You can always depend on her to lend a helping hand and listen with open ears. My favorite thing about Lisa is that she'll root for you and be your strongest supporter--I'm so grateful to have someone like this in my life. Our relationship took off after we both won a company contest...the rest is history and we've been great friends ever since! We share a love for the finer things in life and her great taste is admired by many.
My relationship with Tim began with martial arts and a shared passion for awesomeness, but he is now much more than a friend. He is my real estate partner, irrigation consultant, electrician, social co-host, chief negotiator, life adviser and confidant. If I have ever adopted anything from anyone, it’s Tim’s outlook on life. With Tim serving as the best man you can be assured this wedding will be legen—wait for it—dary.
Bro at first sight. Brought together by TerpWushu and silly antics that no one else could ever truly understand, Jeff and I discovered upon impact we are carbon copies of one another. He may often get me into trouble but he has more often been there to save me from catastrophe. We share more than a beautiful friendship. We share our clothes… or at least I know where to look when I can’t find my shirt. Or my car.
A dependable brother and a lifetime member of the DC 5. Kokuei has always been a constant source of support and friendship throughout my life. A staunch member of the Brotherhood of the DC 5, he has been with me through thick and thin. From Dragon Dancing to Shen Yun Performing Arts, we've shared so many memories and gone through so much together that I can't imagine what life would be like without him. Also the greatest pizza artist and deal hunter on the planet.
“Two Noodle Yellow.” To claim Brian is my best friend is an understatement. He is my brother from another mother. In fact, Nieh is my second most used surname. Brian claims to be a Jack of All Trades, but I see him more as a King of Everything. More talent and wits than Newton and DaVinci, “Drizzle” Nieh was always an unstoppable force. Knowing exactly how to trick our parents into letting us sleep over, eat Pizza Hut, or play basketball, Brian always gracefully served as my partner in crime. In summary: Pokemon Rap.
“What’s Cohen’s last name?” said everyone ever. Cohen Cohenson has known me longer than I have known myself. My first friend and my big brother next door, he taught me all the great things in life… backyard football, backyard baseball, backyard football through glass door, backyard baseball through glass window, etc. While I was on tour, he always helped watch over my home with great diligence, occasionally even going as far as inspecting my roof (retrieving a frisbee). Most importantly, he is the answer to my favorite security question: Who was your first friend? (Don’t even think about it… I have many cryptic versions of Cohen’s name).
To this day, I have not been able to return a single one of Tejas’ serves. As the only reason I played tennis for Hammond High, Tejas was my upper classman role model and big brother. At 14 years old, “Durge” finally let me drive his car around the parking lot after much begging. A true pool shark and county tennis champion, Tejas has always been an admiration to all. Never been tardy in his life, especially when it comes to writing groomsmen introductions.
