In the year 1999 their mothers coalesced with Falun Gong,
But playing downstairs the boys and girls did not yet get along.
While Leon played Nintendo, Jessica would braid Lian’s hair,
Taking no heed of one another, never a word, not a care.
But that year her father’s party planned for Christmas joy,
Inspired even more as Leon impressed Jessica with his Chinese yo-yo toy.
And thus began a childhood crush, but for years to come,
Their love would have to wait, their story was far from done.
Though quite a match indeed, their parents did not yet approve,
Perhaps the young couple first had some maturing left to do.
And so several years later honoring the rules that were made,
Leon courted lovely Jessica on her 17th birthday!
They have been together since and danced around the world,
With new stories still on the way and adventures to unfurl.
